Professional home stagers really do know how to play to the strengths of a home and they also know how to hide its flaws as well. If you want to make your home look the best that it can be then it helps to follow their process so that you can make the most out of your blank canvas.

Set the Tone at the Door
If you want your property to make a fantastic first impression, then you need to try and paint the front door in a nice and glossy hue. When you do this you will soon find that you can add personality and fun without having to worry about a thing. Red is a very good colour to go for, but so is navy blue if you want to go for the modern look. Other colours that are quickly gaining popularity include orange and even yellow. They are often associated with joy and warmth, so this is another thing that you need to think about.
Keep the Walls Nice and Neutral
It’s a good idea for you to stick to colours such as beige or even grey. This is especially the case when it comes to the first floor because the flow is very important there. You don’t want to have any jarring transitions because if you do then you may find that you interrupt your décor. If you want to switch things up a bit or if you have two small rooms next to each other then a neutral colour will also make them feel much larger. If you just feel as though you don’t want to have the same colour, then it’s a good idea for you to take things down a notch or two in terms of the colour shade so that you can have a subtle change. If you want to add some décor then why not look into Michael Kormos photography as this is a great way for you to get a good family picture that you can mount with pride.
Sofa and Chairs
Think about a hotel lobby- the furniture is always arranged in groupings and this invites conversation. When you place your furniture in your living room, you need to try and aim for a very similar balance of intimacy. Try and have your two chairs facing each other or even think about having your sofa directly across from your chairs. If you push all of your furniture against the wall then this is a big mistake. A lot of people think that this makes the room feel bigger but it really doesn’t. Instead, you need to think about floating the furniture away from the walls as this will make the room feel much bigger.
Sunshine
When it comes to drapes that are heavy or outdated, it’s best to have a plain window instead, Ideally, you need to let as much sunlight in as possible because when you do, you will be able to really capitalize on the space you have and this can work in your favor.
